VOLUNTEER WITH US

Do you like working outdoors, meeting new people, learning new skills, and getting your hands dirty? If so, we would love to have you join for a volunteer day!

Volunteers are a huge asset to our farm, and we couldn’t run our farm without them. From planting to harvesting, weeding and field preparation, volunteers work alongside our employees to connect with the Earth to help lay the foundation for our farm.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Closed Toe Shoes - Hiking boots or muck boots are best.

  • Clothing - Make sure they are weather appropriate. Layers are a good idea and be prepared to get dirty.

  • Water and Snacks - We will have water refills available.

  • Sun Protection - Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses.

  • Gardening or Work Gloves - If you have them, please bring them along, we have some available if you don't have your own.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Volunteer days run from 9am until 12pm. Please arrive at the brown barn a little before 9am so we can all meet and get started at the same time. The brown barn is the first building on the left when pulling in the driveway. Our farm is spread out across 25 acres so it can be hard to find the group once we move on from our meeting spot. If you can no longer make the volunteer day, please let us know beforehand by contacting Wendy orders@lancasterfarmacy.com.

Volunteers start by learning about the projects for that day. We typically plan multiple tasks and switch things up part way through the morning. Some of the projects could include but are not limited to: planting, harvesting, and weeding. All volunteers must be 18 years or older.

We look forward to seeing you at the farm!
